Trick or Treat

Another perfect day for treating. We had a gypsy, a little lamb, a hunter, a princess, a cowboy, a pirate and Taylor Swift and fun for Kooper on his first Halloween. Here are our surprise visitors from Casper. Ya Hoo! we were all here.
Boo to you!!!!!

Halloween treasure hunt

Had to take the opportunity to tour the farm on a hay ride with all the ones we love. Everything was just right for a Halloween party. The weather was spectacular, the whole fam was here and we had a fun day planned. We rode the wagon to the far end of the farm, built a little fire and had a weiner roast.
Off to the treasure hunt. All around the farm looking for clues even in high places, spooky places, and familiar places. We found the treasure, we had some smart sleuths! Then ended up at the pumpkin patch where we started with our Scarecrow.

Happy Halloween from the Cookies.............

Casper Birthday Celebration

We got to be there for our sweetie's 1st Birthday. She had a very fun day. We got to take her shopping and find just the right gift and Grandpa got her a great big balloon.
We took a short drive to Natural Bridge by Casper, where the weather was fabulous, serene and picturesque. We had a little picnic lunch, enjoyed the sun and fabulous company.
Throwing rocks in the water with Gramps.....
Enjoying the beauties of nature.
This was a real treat from Mother Nature. Thank you.

Fall Fun

Family Reunion Time-

We gathered at the Sunshine P Ranch in Rupert on the banks of the Snake River. Lots of activities, dancing, games, food, and trading post.
The big slide that takes you down to the water.

We took the opportunity to celebrate 3 birthdays. Nicole, Brook and Randy.
The 60's club was born here and the first three members were inducted into the club. No fear there will be more joining sooner than they think.

Ye Old Fish Pond

Now this thing really gets around. I made it about 6 years ago for our family bar BQ that we have for Executive Banking. It is tradition that we take it to SLC every year. This time it was especially fun cause more of my kids got to help and participate. Good prizes and fun times....Thanks for going with me. Now let's get back to Little America where we get to go swimming.

Fun times in SLC

I am in SLC for work about 4 times a year. This one was especially fun cause I got a present from my Utah kids for Lion King. It was absolutely great to watch. The costumes and music were wonderful. This was after a long day at Power training, but so fun to see my Utah fam. We even took along the Andersen girls. Grandma Becky was visiting and Ty had two grandmas!!!!!at the same time.
Thanks for the fun time. What Broadway show should we go see next?

Apples

There is one other thing that we harvested. Our little apple tree was just loaded with the best apples you could get for applesauce and juice and apple pie filling. The whole family enjoyed this fruit. There were quarts and quarts and quarts and more. Thanks little apple tree.........

Harvest time

All our efforts come down to this time......Harvest. A new truck........ A new homemade truckbed...............
Our version of a fire truck.........

Bringing it in.....
We are thankful for harvest and feel so blessed.
The garden didn't do so good, but we have enjoyed the harvest of other's. MMM good. I can grow sunflowers, so I need a few recipes for anything with sunflowers in it.

The fun continues

The day after the wedding we crashed. What better way than to have a waterfight on a hot day....Everybody gets wet including Grandpa... So fun and good times
We dry off and head to Darby on the way to Jackson to see the Bar J Wranglers.

We're hungry and ready for a good time at Bar J.
Nice relaxing evening with the fam...and some entertaining country singing.

Summer continues, there is life after a wedding.

Jealous of our hot tub?

Rach had a great idea. Blow up the yellow boat and fill it with hot water. Instant hot tub!!!!! Lots of fun sharing it with Caitlyn's cousins. Water is sooooo fun. This is our homemade slip and slide.
Then a weiner roast to boot. Great summer days.

Getting things done....

This old mailbox has stood the test of time. Because of the road construction on the highway in front of our house, all the mailboxes had to be relocated. This was too big to move so we brought it back home. We have no idea how old it is but the JH COOK tells us that it is pretty old. James H is the father of James C Cook or Grandpa Cook.
This stand was made by James C as a project celebrating the America's bi-centennial (200 yrs). Grandpa was really proud of it and it was very well built. It probably won't be put back in service as there will be new mailboxes put into place when the construction is done. Wood everywhere. Dalton helped me stack all the various woodpiles into one place. It turned out to be a lot of wood.

Well the old washhouse had a makeover. We tore it down a few years ago and with the help of many we now have a finished shed. Love it. The final step was the door. Doug persisted and got er done.

I love to get things done. Thanks everyone.
