Quilts and more Quilts

We have been inspired by many great people and fun fabric. We just had to try a fun quilt project. Nicole made a quilt and a pillow. Once they learned how to do it, they were hooked. Cute huh? Now they want to go onto other sewing projects. SEW fun! Brianna did the same pinwheel quilt and they both did a very good job and kept the sewing machines just a humming.
Brooklyn was the inspiration for the pinwheel quilt. She spent quite a bit of time putting it together and then had it professionally quilted. What a treasure.
Looks good on you.

Well Deena (the master quilter) inspires us all with this beautiful quilt she made for Kim's wedding. Absolutely beautiful and my girls are already figuring out how she did it. Could this be our next piecing project?

Love it. . . . . . ;o)

Annual Bodily Retreat-2010

Our theme turned out to be all about getting older.....We reminise and talk about our families and tell stories about our younger years growing up together and visiting and eating and laughing and singing. We have a special place for our retreat in Rupert, Idaho along the banks of the Snake River. The time goes so fast and we are sad to part at the end of the day.

So everytime one of us turns 50 we make a big deal of it. It is Robert's turn this year.
Lot's of silly presents. Happy Friggin' Birthday Rob. How's the cane working for you? the 50 Christmas tree lights and 50 toilet paper rolls?
Surprise sonny boy!!!! Ain't she cute? Can't wait till next year.
Eric will join the 50's club in a few years, he will be the last. Now we are starting the 60's club with Randy, Rick and Dodie.

Blessing Day

Kooper James, blessed May 2. What a great day with our kids. Love you all.

Who's turning 40?

Well that would not be me. It would be our oldest daughter Marci. That would mean that I turn 60 this year. Oh my........ We called in the troops and had a great surprise party with everyones help. The Utah cookies and the kids really pulled it off. Friends and family showed up. We got her good, huh Troy? Even getting her out of the house at the last minute so we could decorate. What a fun family we have.

Going back to School.

Yes, I got to go back to school. Maeley's 1st grade class at Ucon. She has lots of cousins in her class. The bank encourages us to go to the schools and help the kids learn about money and saving. I got to go to Brianna's 6th grade class and I took one of my friends from the bank. It was really fun. They are really smart kids. Then we got to go to Dalton's 3rd grade class at Ucon. They are also very smart. I just couldn't be a teacher, they work very hard.
